Bote-Cote Epoxy Resin

Bote-Cote Epoxy is a specially formulated epoxy resin system for coating boat components and for use in conjunction with filler powders for gluing and fairing. BoteCote is a 2:1 ( 2 parts epoxy resin to 1 part hardener) formulation which does not exhibit amine blush. This feature can save you a lot of work as there is no greasy film to clean off before recoating.

The BoteCote epoxy resin system also has a much reduced alergic reaction potential. Many customers who are unable to use the 4:1 and 5:1 epoxy formulations of our competitors because they have an allergic reaction to them but who can continue to work using Bote-Cote epoxy. (But please note all epoxies can cause an allergic problem for some unfortunate people, sadly, so safety precuations when handling epoxy are always important.)

Bot-Cote have made this epoxy resin system a bit more flexible so that it is much less likely to crack on a flexing piece of wood and we have thickened the epoxy resin a little bit so it is a lot easier to get a decent film thickness, especially when applying it to sloping or vertical surfaces.

Bote-Cote epoxy resin systems even includes an insect repellent to reduce the nuisance of insects swimming in your coating before it dries.
