The winch can be shifted to the second and third gears as load increases, using their greater mechanical advantage for precise control of heavy loads. The added versatility provided by the extra gear results in improved performance on the water. Orbit Winches™ combine impressively light weight and low line entry heights with remarkably easy service. The fully machined aluminium drums feature the same Power Ribs™ that many will recognize from Andersen Stainless Steel Winches®, well-known for their impressive line grip, smooth control, and minimal rope wear. Orbit Winches™ sizes 30QT and larger are equipped with the unique, patented QuickTrim™ self-tailer.
